| Olson Dairy is a 275 cow mixed herd operation and has been a Brown Swiss Genetic Honor Herd since 2000. Our cows are milked three times a day in a double six herringbone parlor. Holsteins and Brown Swiss, along with a few Milking Shorthorn, are in mixed within the same groups in a freestall set up. The first Brown Swiss cow to break the 50,000 lb barrier in one lactation - IE Thane Jane, also called Olson Dairy Home. Currently the dairy has a rolling herd average of 27,962 lbs of milk with 1,154 lbs of fat and 900 lbs of protein. Olson Dairy has been owned and operated by Les and Jo Olson since 1981. The Olson Family includes Aaron and his son Brody, Katie, Kelsey, and Kaysie and Todd Manion. |

| Introducing Olsons Mel Scipio Macy VG88/90 MS as a 2 year old Macy has developed into a fine young cow. She is the FULL sister to the Emergency Bull who is a genomically tested young bull and has a NM of $541 !! Macy has hit the show ring this summer as a Jr. 2 and was 1st at the MN State Fair and the Canton Show, and as a heifer Macy was 1st as a Spring yearling at the MN state fair and state show. Macy is a Scipio out of our Brinks Melody cow. We are excited about this nice young cow's future |
